This is the French edition of the exhibition album.
As well as being a summary of French architecture of the 17th century and a model of restoration of a historical castle in the 19th century, the castle of Blois also hosts a Fine-Arts Museum.
Established in 1850, it covers a period beginning with the French and Italian Renaissance (Melzi, Menzocchi, Lavinia, Fontana) and ending with the French 19th century (Ducis, Ingres, Etex, Gechter).
The classical period is also well represented (Bourdon, Stellon, Vignon) and is completed by some original collections like the terra cotta medallions of Jean-Baptiste Nini, which illustrate the Enlightment society.
