Died in August 2016, Marc Riboud chose to bequeath his work to the Musée national des arts asiatiques-Guimet.
The retrospective exhibition "Photographs of Marc Riboud" will pay tribute to the great photographer that he was. It will present his work through his travels in Europe, the Middle East but especially in Asia where he visited many times throughout his career.
The catalog is conceived as a true reference monograph, retracing his entire career and showing how his practice powerfully testified to great moments of the 20th century.
Specialist essays place his work in context, while an interview with Catherine Riboud and an essay by Olivier Rolin will provide a more intimate insight into the photographer's work.
