Artigas Vase - Red

CB300125
This collection of ceramic vases has been created for the Miró exhibition at the Grand Palais. They are all handcrafted in the workshop of the ceramist Artigas in Catalonia, and signed by the artist. Because it is handmade, each vase is unique. There may be slight differences in size and shape with the product showed on the picture.

Joan Llorens Artigas joined the Louvre School, then the Beaux-Arts. While his father lived in Catalonia, he developed his own style in contact with Parisian artistic life. He opens his ceramic workshop in Paris, gets closer to Giacometti, works with Braque and Chagall.

In the 1950s, Joan Miró collaborated with her father Josep to create ceramics. When Josep's age prevented him from continuing his work, Miro called on Joan, with whom he worked for more than twenty years. Their collaboration can be found in many ceramic walls.

Joan Gardy Artigas also signs many works on a personal basis, fountains, buildings. Since the 1970s, he has also developed lithography and engraving.
