Exhibition Jean Paul Gaultier , Grand Palais, from April 1st,2015 to August 3, 2015.
Jean Paul Gaultier's work is to make clothes. He designs them, but above all, he invents them, by draping them, by building them onto a fitting model's body, by creating fabric.
In front of the camera, Gaultier reconstructs over a dozen of his most emblematic creations. The dresses appear before our very eyes, and we follow Jean Paul Gaultier's train of thought, zigzagging between ideas and material. Corsets, conical breasts, trompe l'oeil fun, the sailor t-shirt, key collections such as the tattoos, the skirt for men - he explains them all, with humour.
The work of Gaultier, recounted by himself, like a lasting legacy of creativity
