This collection, featuring the logo which is harmoniously similar to the silhouette of the facade, highlights the architectural drawings of the Grand Palais, testifying to the fascinating meticulousness of the architectural renovation, which required consultation of over 3,000 original plans and an exact statement of every details of the building.
The Grand Palais, an emblematic monument of Paris, is an architectural masterpiece with exceptional dimensions: over 70,000 m2, overlooked by the largest glass roof in Europe. Designed by several architects as a collective work, the Grand Palais was built in just 3 years for the 1900 Universal Exhibition and the hosting of major national events.
The restoration and enhancement project, led by François Chatillon (Chatillon Architectes) and the GrandPalaisRmn, was guided by the desire to restore the original volumes, perspectives, luminosity and decor of the Belle Époque Grand Palais. This extraordinary project was completed in June 2025 after 4 years of work involving more than 4,000 workers and nearly 60 companies.
François Chatillon is Chief Architect of Historic Monuments for the French Ministry of Culture, responsible for the restoration and enhancement of the Grand Palais.
