Bangle-Up X Musée de l'Orangerie
Bangle-Up plays with the stylized patterns of water lilies on a green or sand white background in this mini collection created exclusively for the Musée de l'Orangerie boutique and inspired by Claude Monet's work Water Lilies, Green Reflections, painted between 1914 and 1926.
Inspiration
Claude Monet (1840-1926)
Water Lilies : Green Reflections (Between 1914 and 1926)
Oil on canvas. H. 200 ; L. 850 cm
Musée de l'Orangerie
This composition is exclusively dedicated to the representation of the water of the Giverny pond. The framing not only excludes any horizon line as in all the works of the entire Orangerie but it also deliberately ignores the banks and the shore. The surface of the water is here made perceptible by the presence of flowers and leaves of water lilies floating on it.
