This guide offers to follow them through the castle and the estate: from Marie-Thérèse of Austria, the self-effacing wife of Louis XIV, to the king's influential mistresses, from the mischievousness of the young Marie-Adélaïde of Savoy to the sovereign poise of Marie Leszczynska, from her eight daughters - the irreducible Mesdames - to Marie-Antoinette, dauphine and then queen, without forgetting, as far as possible, the friends, the superintendents, the ladies-in-waiting, the ladies-in-waiting and the palace ladies, the merchants and the artists.
