Miffy is a little rabbit famous all over the world. His father, the Dutch illustrator Dick Bruna, has been able to seduce children and their parents since the 1960s with his animals with their simplified shapes and wide flattened primary colours. Miffy has lots of friends (Boris, Barbara...) and every day they change their clothes!
The Museums of Orsay and Orangery wanted to offer Miffy new clothes - in the colours of Monet and Van Gogh - in order to offer children new stories to invent, in the colours of the Water Lilies and the Starry Night.
The Miffy doll and her clothes are designed in Holland by Carin Derks and are made in Vietnam by disabled women who can thus access the labour market.
