The work and its artist

Pablo Ruiz Picasso (1881-1973)

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), is a symbol of the 20th century, a painter, sculptor, engraver and ceramist. This immense Spanish artist who came to France at the beginning of the century, became the leader of the cubist movement with his friend Georges Braque. Inventor of unique shapes, innovative in styles and techniques, he is one of the most prolific artists of his time. Thanks to his thirst for creativity, he touched on all the pictorial currents of the twentieth century, surrealism, expressionism or neo-classicism, to become one of the undisputed masters of modern art.
