These gold-plated brass earrings are part of the Laurel Jewellery collection.
These jewels were inspired by a gold laurel leaf that fell off during Napoleon's fitting of the coronation crown (it now adorns a snuffbox kept at the Château de Fontainebleau).
Their manufacture calls on the know-how of two French companies, including Artmetal, which has been awarded the EPV label, and perpetuates the manufacture of laurel leaves using the stamping technique, using tools and dies that are part of the national heritage (the oldest dating back to 1829).
Our workshop, located in the east of France, then carries out all the jewellery work with these stamped sheets: it bends them, polishes them, solder them, gilds them with fine gold and transforms them into elegant French-made jewellery.
