To mark the 400th anniversary of the birth of Jean de La Fontaine, the Rmn-Grand Palais is offering a funny, modern and exciting look at twenty-six of his fables by giving free rein to the creativity of Rébecca Dautremer.
A talented illustrator with a unique style, known for her many successes, Rébecca Dautremer revisits La Fontaine's most famous fables with boldness and unbridled humor. She also brings, thanks to graffiti, gracefully arrowed with complicated words, a resolutely rock'n'roll approach to the texts!
From the sharp and bloody teeth of a wolf sitting with a peace and love sheep (yo man!), to the high tension of a sow carried away by a binocular fly, from the casual hare topped by a turtle sponsored by the Old Camper, to a master crow looking like Pavarotti stripped by a flattering fox, without forgetting the ox blasé by a frog all puffed up with his desire for greatness...
Beware, risk of crazy laughter guaranteed, you have been warned!
