Here is a nice cushion cover that will find its place in your home decor!
The design of this cushion cover is inspired by a detail of Marie-Antoinette's headboard.
These roses and lilies tied with a garland of cornflowers are directly inspired by the quilt design. When in 1786 Marie-Antoinette wished to renew the summer furniture, i.e. the textile decoration of her great room, the Garde-Meuble called upon the Lyon embroiderer Jean-François Bony to make the embroideries for the bed and seats, which had to harmonise with the new wall hanging.
The products are based on the design of the quilt (or bedspread), which is the only original element to have survived the Revolution.
