This bracelet is inspired by a detail from one of the most famous works by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), 'Under the Wave off Kanagawa' ('The Great Wave') (Kanagawa oki namiura) 1830-32.
Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), painter, draughtsman, engraver and author, is the most famous artist in the world. He revolutionised woodblock printing with his famous works such as 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa', the first in the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, published between 1831 and 1833.
