Jacques-Émile Blanche (1861-1942)

Blanche is a French painter, engraver and writer. His work extends from the Belle Epoque to the Roaring Twenties, his quick and brilliant touch shows the society of the time at its most flattering angle, sometimes artificial. Blanche painted the portraits of important people of his time such as Marcel Proust, Mallarmé or Jean Cocteau.
