Catalogue La force de l'Art Première triennale

« La Force de l'art 1 », in May - June 2006, was the first edition of a manifestation that happens every three years.

What is art today? To carry out this project successfully, a reflexion committee approved the principles of carte blanche, given to about 15 personalities, artists, curators, museum directors, critics and art historians, directors of art centres and of regional contemporary art funds, or scholars, representing a diversity of generations and points of view about current art. Each of these people gives his or her vision of contemporary creation, illustrating it with a large selection of works from various public and private collections.

This exhibition showed how overactive and inventive French creative activity is.
