Ring from the Rongères treasure Gold-plated

BA000851
This gold-plated ring is inspired by the bracelet from the Rongères treasure (Rongères Middle Bronze 13th - 12th century BC - Gold / Musée d'Archéologie nationale, Domaine National, Saint-Germain-en-Laye)

In 1911, a deposit of gold objects was found in a field at Rongères (Allier): a bracelet, two spirals and a ring were contained in a cup of the same metal with embossed and stamped decoration. The bracelet is made of a thick ribbon with a moulded relief decoration, which has been stamped into the small cupules; the ends end in wires wound in double volutes. This jewel, like the other items in the deposit, is of a type characteristic of the production of this period in Central and Northern Europe, but much rarer in the West, which makes this one of the best-known finds of the luxuriant Bronze Age goldsmith's art exceptionally interesting.

In order to preserve the life of your jewel, we recommend to store it individually in its cotton case, away from humidity, to avoid prolonged contact with water, avoid contact with perfumes or cosmetics, do not use cleaning products or solvents, do not wear your jewellery when you are doing physical activity, do not keep it on when you sleep.
