As a legacy of Montpellier's rich past and a testament to the generosity of illustrious donors (Fabre, Valedau, Bruyas, etc.), the Fabre Museum underwent major expansion work between 2004 and 2007. - and to open a space reserved for contemporary art, including twenty paintings from the Pierre Soulages donation.
This new edition includes 38 works that have joined the walls of the Musée Fabre, including Lesueur, Ranc, Vien, Pajou, Cabanel, Redon, Hartung and Zao Wou-Ki.
