The palace of Compiègne, situated for four years on the outposts of the Great War, was a privileged witness: first transformed into a military hospital from 1914 to 1917, it then housed the Grand Quartier Général from 1917 to 1918.
Through numerous documents from the collections of the palace, the Franco-American museum in Blérancourt, and loans from other institutions, this exhibition dealt with the first three years of the war.
