To meet their mission of cultural diffusion, a major element of Marseille, 2013 European Capital of Culture, the Marseille museums reveal the masterpieces in their collections.
The rich collections of the Museum of Mediterranean Archaeology, consisting of works from the ancient Greek, Roman and Oriental Antiquities, as well as the second largest Egyptian collections after the Louvre's, will take both readers and visitors to a historical journey along the shoreline of the Nile to the shores of Greece, from the Mediterranean islands to Roman Italy.
