A student of Léon Bonnat, Eugène Le Roux, and Lecouteux, he made his debut at the 1879 Salon, then in 1881 he exhibited in various sections and obtained an honorable mention in 1889.
In addition to his original etchings, landscapes of the Normandy region or Ile de France, he engraves according to Ruysdael, Hobbema, Corot, H. Harpignies, M. Maris, E. Krug, Van der Neer... and exhibits in this capacity from 1881 to 1911.
